About Us
Canticle is associated with the “Canticle of Brother Sun” which St Francis of Assisi composed in 1224 to praise God for the beauty of creation and to recognise in the common fatherhood of God.
Hence, we are related as brothers and sisters to all created things.
St Francis saw everything as “gift” and his canticle was a song to the Giver of all Good; God.
Canticle seeks to hold and minister to young creatives; journeying together in discovering the God-given talents and to channel it for self-knowledge, spiritual growth and ministry.
Creative talents are gifts in every person that calls for recognition and gratitude.
Canticle is a ministry that sings of the blessings that God has endowed in each person and to use His
gifts in our lives to live fully human lives in praise of God!
SacroSpeco is a form of prayer through art, that is organised by Canticle.
SacroSpeco, Sacred Caves in Italian, served as cherished sanctuaries where St. Francis of Assisi frequently sought solace for contemplation. Nestled within the mountain’s crevices, these sacred spaces carry profound symbolism, representing the pierced side of Christ. Entering the cave imparts a sense of stepping into the very heart of Jesus. In a similar way, this program seeks to be our SacroSpeco where we meet the heart of God through art.
