Gospel living through St. Francis and St. Clare
Every 2nd and 4th Friday of the Month
As a Franciscan community, we believe that the life of St. Francis has much to teach us and help us in building our relationship with God and others.
FY is a new group which stems from the Franciscan idea of Fraternity and Community. The idea and aspect of being in communion with one another, as brothers and sisters, as Francis would have it.
Are you a youth between 16 and 21? Looking for a community post-confirmation? Want to learn and spread the Franciscan Spirituality?
Come and be co-creators in Franciscan Youth (FY)!
FY is not another catechism class, not a pastoral attachment, and definitely not a holy moley (although we are still called to Holiness).
It is coming together individually as who we are; broken, tired and restless. It is in this fraternity where we journey towards God together through the Franciscan Spirituality.
Jesus said, `Come and see.’ They went and saw the place where Jesus was staying. The time was about four o’clock in the afternoon. They stayed with Jesus the rest of the day. – John 1: 39
FY invites you to come for our sessions and see for yourself.
Our bi-weekly Friday Sessions
- Every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month, there will be activities and formation that help understand the Franciscan way of life and how God calls us to be. These activities will help us build a relationship with God and with one another.
- Exciting activities such as rock climbing, hiking, volunteering in animal shelters, gardening and farming, and visits to other religious sites are just some of the activities we envision having.
Our Franly Committees
“Remember that when you leave this earth, you can take with you nothing that you have received – only what you have given: a full heart, enriched by honest service, love, sacrifice and courage.” – St Francis of Assisi
