Our Hopes
As a Franciscan community, we believe that the life of St. Francis has much to teach us and help us in building our relationship with God and others.
FY is a new group which stems from the Franciscan idea of Fraternity and Community. The idea and aspect of being in communion with one another, as brothers and sisters, as Francis would have it.
Fraternity is beyond just friendship, it is a concrete gift from God to each and every person, recognising we are children of one heavenly Father.
Envisioning FY
FY is not another catechism class., not a pastoral attachment, and definitely not a holy moley.
It is about coming together individually as who we are; broken, tired and restless. It is in this fraternity where we find God together through the Franciscan spirituality.
Building FY
Every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month, there will be activities and formation that help understand the Franciscan way of life and how God calls us to be. These activities will help us build a relationship with God and with one another.
Exciting activities such as rock climbing, hiking, volunteering in animal shelters, gardening and farming, and visits to other religious sites are just some of the activities we envision having.
Come join and build this Fraternity together!
Come and See
He said to them, “Come, and you will see.” So they went and saw where he was staying, and they stayed with him that day. It was about four in the afternoon.
Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter, was one of the two who heard John and followed Jesus.
He first found his own brother Simon and told him, “We have found the Messiah”
– John 1 : 39-41
