Mission

Photo from Transnational Christmas Party (2023)

As we journey in the footsteps of St Francis and St Clare, caring for the poor and marginalized is at the heart of our spirituality. Our fraternity seeks to live out this call through mission, both locally and overseas.

Our Overseas Mission (FYA x OFM Indo)

Our community will embark on our inaugural overseas mission trip on the 6th-10th December 2025 to Jakarta, Indonesia.

Our Local Mission (FYA x ACMI)

Transnational Christmas Party (2023)

FYA joined ACMI to celebrate Christmas with transnational families, helping host an afternoon of fellowship, games and gift-giving that brought together spouses and children separated by borders during the year.

Dormitory Ration Deliveries (2024)

The Fraternitas team delivered care packs and dry rations to migrant workers at several dormitories, focusing on staples and hygiene items. The visits included short check-ins to surface needs and connect workers with ACMI.

World Day of Migrants & Refugees — St Anne’s Church (2025)

FYA participated in the Archdiocesan observance at St Anne’s Church on Sunday 21 September, joining the parish and ACMI to honour migrants’ gifts and contributions. The 111th World Day of Migrants and Refugees was themed “Migrants, Missionaries of Hope,” as designated by Pope Leo XIV. The celebration included a special Mass and a cultural food festival.

Self-Defense Class for Women (2025)

FYA collaborated with ACMI to hold a self-defense class for women, where participants learned practical self-defense techniques rooted in Aikido (the Art of Harmony).

Looking Ahead

These touchpoints reflect our simple commitment: be present, befriend, and build bridges. We’ll continue partnering with ACMI and parishes to accompany our migrant brothers and sisters with practical help and genuine hospitality.
