Franciscan Youth ‘SENT’ 2024

PENANG, MALAYSIA

SENT is an annual post-confirmation trip to Penang for Sec 3 post-confirmands, organised by Franciscan Youth. The trip aimed to provide participants with a sense of mission and belonging following their Sacrament of Confirmation; to be sent forth after having been empowered by their receiving of the Holy Spirit at Confirmation.

Franciscan Jamboree 2024

LASALLE HOUSE

The Jamboree was a retreat commemorating the 800th anniversary of the Stigmata of St. Francis. Through his teachings, participants aimed to appreciate the blessing of fraternity. It offered a platform for individuals to gather, fostering connections and understanding among members from our FYA branches and Fraternitas fraternities.

Franciscan Contemplation with Poor Clares Galway

The Poor Clares (officially the Order of St Clare or the Second Franciscan Order) are nuns who live together in a cloistered community and take vows of chastity, poverty and obedience. The sisters do not leave their monastery except, to quote St Clare, for “a useful, reasonable, evident and approved purpose”. The Poor Clares spend most of their days in prayer and contemplation. They are the prayer powerhouses of the Franciscan order.

Beauty and Franciscan Spirituality with Fr John Quigley

Fra. Quigley is an accomplished public speaker and artist.
